Goatmother Industrial was established in June of 2003. I was coming from art-skool but also band culture, and an over-arching nom de plume seemed the best way to offer myself the freedom to make whatever I wanted, while offering a phony corporate skeleton, and a slight tongue/cheek remark in the direction of the "Business of Being Creative." And of course, it offered a (thinly-veiled) anonymity and a padded landing against any possible sullying of the concise yet lackluster name given to me by my parents :)

Anyway....this poster was created to mark the time.
It's been 20 years. And, for the most part, the only constant has been change.
but I plucked a few long-standing passengers from the cargo bay of the ol' Goatmother barge and brought them up from below deck.
The subjects chosen for this print represent a glossary of sorts. As symbols, they seem to follow me around, continually appearing in my mind and in my art, offering ever-present inspiration and an influence that is strengthened by persistent transformation.
