Theoretical Ceramics Trading Cards are unique, multi-media, paintings that offer a more durable sculptural experience because their physical form is stored safely in an off-site, abstract location. Theoretical Ceramics have solved the problem of chipped bowls, cracked rims, and confusion of whether of whether not an item is "dishwasher-safe." They have done this by creating an object that is intentionally and infinitely speculative, and housed it in a secure protective display. These trading cards allow you to take your delicate and fragile items on the road without fear of damage or loss. Swap and trade with your friends! -----Each Theoretical Ceramic Trading Card measures 2.5" x 3.5" and is created from found papers collaged on an archival cotton paper (Rives BFK). These works are created using acrylic paint, india ink, silkscreen printing, and stamps. Each work is kept safe from the elements in an acid-free plexiglass case with an anti-ultraviolet protective coating. A small wooden stand is included with every trading card. Each one is signed and numbered on the back.
